A mechanically actuated collet stud chuck for external clamping. The collet studs, or clamping jaws, are shown without clamping inserts in this example. At a diameter of 130 mm, the GHZ-3B achieves a radial jaw stroke of 2 mm from a piston stroke of 6.5 mm. Lubrication is supplied through grease nipples on the chuck body.
